Beta 1 available now · Version 1.4.0-beta.1

Soundbender TagDeck

Local-first music curation workstation for AI music creators.

Turn generated-song chaos into a local, reviewable, organized music library.

Organize, review and prepare large local music libraries — especially Suno, Udio and AI-generated songs — without uploading your music, creating an account or losing control of your files.

Features

What TagDeck does

Local library scan

Scan folders of MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, OGG and other supported audio files.

Integrated player

Listen, pause, skip, review and work through your library inside one app.

Explorer / Curator mode

Review songs one by one with fast rating, status, tags, notes and next actions.

Session mode and playlists

Build queues, internal playlists and listening passes for radio, release selection or DAW rescue.

Safe metadata tools

Read and edit supported file metadata with backup and validation when you explicitly save changes.

Internal creative organization

Keep ratings, status, project, mood, model, notes and next actions in local SQLite.

Customizable keyboard shortcuts

Create shortcut rules by context, field, value/action and key. Configure rating, status, genre, mood, internal tags, project, model, language, next action and app actions from Settings.

Export, import and backup

Export CSV/JSON, import data and use the backup/restore foundation to keep creative data portable.

Keyboard workflow

Customizable shortcuts for fast review

Contexts include Global, Library, Explorer and Session. Shortcut profiles can be exported and imported as JSON.

  • Defaults are preserved: 1-9 for rating, 0 for rating 10, Ctrl+0 for reset zoom, Space for play/pause and Esc for cancel/clear.
  • Shortcut rules can target context, field, value/action and key.
  • Shortcuts do not trigger while typing in inputs, notes, lyrics, search fields, modals or editable fields.

Privacy

Local-first by design

TagDeck does not upload your music. TagDeck does not require an account. Creative organization data is stored locally in SQLite.

The manual update checker only performs a public GET request to soundbender.live.

It checks https://soundbender.live/tagdeck/latest.json and does not send your library, paths, song names or telemetry.

Beta notice

Use Beta 1 with care

TagDeck 1.4.0-beta.1 is beta software. Use it with care, keep backups of important music folders and test metadata writing on copied files first when possible.

  • Removing songs from TagDeck does not delete audio files.
  • Emptying the library does not delete audio files.
  • Internal creative data stays in SQLite.
  • Metadata writes use backup and validation, but should still be tested carefully during beta.

Open source

Open source and inspectable
