Library

Your local music collection, structured for review.

The Library is the central workspace where TagDeck shows scanned songs, ratings, states, projects, genres, moods, tags and file information in one local-first view.

Local library

Scan and browse local folders

TagDeck scans local music folders and builds a reviewable library without uploading your files. It is designed for large collections of generated songs, demos, versions and local audio files.

  • Scan folders of MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, OGG and other supported audio files.
  • Re-scan folders as your library grows.
  • Browse songs in a table view.
  • Search and filter by creative fields.
  • Keep your files on your computer.

Two data layers

Metadata and internal organization, separated

Library mode separates real file metadata from TagDeck's internal creative organization.

File Metadata

Title, artist, album, genre, year, track number, lyrics and other supported metadata can be read and edited only when you explicitly save metadata changes.

Internal Organization

Rating, status, project, version, internal tags, mood, language, model, notes and next actions stay inside TagDeck's SQLite database and do not modify your audio files.

Internal creative data is not written to your audio files.

Review work

Built for review, not just storage

The Library is not only a file list. It is where you decide what each song is for.

  • Rate songs from 1 to 10.
  • Mark workflow states such as Unreviewed, DAW Rescue, Radio Ready, Release Ready or Archived.
  • Assign projects and versions.
  • Add moods, models, language and internal tags.
  • Write notes and next actions.
  • Select one song, many songs or filtered results for bulk actions.

Scale

Large library readiness

TagDeck is being prepared for large libraries with visible song limits such as 10k and 20k tracks, so creators with thousands of generated songs can keep working without turning the app into a frozen spreadsheet.

  • Visible song limits for large libraries.
  • Search and filters recommended for big collections.
  • Column visibility controls.
  • Selection and bulk editing workflows.
  • Local SQLite storage.
